Huong Lan

I feel this is still the best banh mi sandwich place around. There are a lot of other places but they just seem to do everything well here. The grilled pork sandwich shown above is my go-to. I wish this place were a little closer to home but anytime I’m in South SJ I make it a point to stop in.

They have several locations but the one on Tully is the only one I know of with the Asian BBQ deli which I think is some of the best in town. The roast chicken and duck are always high quality and they also sometimes have a pork rib with a great sweet char on the outside.

Note to the newbies - they are cash only. The prices have creeped up a bit as they have everywhere so it’s not dirt cheap like it used to be but it is still some of the tastiest food I think you can find in the South Bay.
